Best Gastro Pubs in Ardingly

Second time lunching here in a month. Smashing menu, Christmas decor, friendly and attentive staff made lunch today an enjoyable occasion. The prawn cocktail was delicious. A return visit is planned.

After a gruelling 7.5 kn mud filled walk with my walking members we arrived back at The Hatch. As we entered we were met with a warmth of the interior of the pub resplendent in Xmas decorations. There were seven of us in our group and we all enjoyed our main course some had deserts as well. We were looked after admirable by the Hatch staff and the food was of a very high standard. We all felt now relaxed after our morning ordeal.

We booked a 12o/c table so it was quieter with extremely efficient service. The food was amazing!!! I had a small roast which was plenty for me and delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive in the restaurant as well as the bar. Loved the Teepee ambiance and it was a great temperature - not too hot and not chilly, just right. Very cosy and welcoming. We then found a nice space to sit and enjoy a drink between the pub and the Teepee where we sat on sofas by a fire. This is my new ‘go-to’ favourite place for food, service and venue ! Just all round perfect pleasure :)

A wonderful weekend lunch with the family. Excellent service and delicious food. Great selection on the menu! Perfect for small intimate ate numbers or larger parties!

The staff working here were lovely and attentive! Really nice old style pub with a fire and really nice food! Would recommend this pub!
