The Gate Restaurant, Llanfrechfa was bustling with a lively, cheerful atmosphere, and yet the food and service remained exceptional despite the number of diners being looked after. The dishes were absolutely flawless—served piping hot and bursting with flavor. Thank you for providing such a delightful evening! We will definitely be returning soon. Wishing a Merry Christmas to all the staff and talented chefs!

I get so enthusiastic about this place people think I have shares in it...I don't by the way. It was very busy on our latest visit, as you'd expect even early evening on a Saturday 10 days before Christmas. Despite this the food and service was as good as always, staff cheerful and seemed to be enjoying themselves almost as much as the diners. Noise levels (important as my husband wears hearing aids) were bearable- noisy enough to be cheerful but not so loud we couldn't chat. Must remember next time to miss a starter and have mains and a pud as we never have space for 3 courses !

Great service from the staff, moved us tables due to being sat next to a loud group of boys. The female toilets had no working taps and there were sanitary bins knocked over and up on the side. But the food was great and the staff were very attentive. Thank you :)
