We usually start with the amazing rice balls, (I can’t spell or pronounce the word). My dining partner, who loves scallops, very much enjoyed the delicious risotto that comes with the scallops. I ordered a new dish, for me, I had the appetizer of clams and mussels. I’m sure I didn’t carefully read the menu, and was surprised to find that the dish was very tomato forward. I prefer lighter sauces. I ate the clams and mussels and left an almost full dish of tomato. I didn’t send it back because I thought it was my error in ordering. They have been very accommodating in the past when there had been a concern about an order. The servers are friendly and pleasant and appear to enjoy working there. Last night, our service was less attentive, I think it may have been because we were in a corner booth and maybe more difficult to observe. I think it was an “one off” because service is usually on point. This remains one of our favorite restaurants!More infoBrunos Italian KitchenPrice: Moderate• Italian• Brea / La Habra•4.9
- CClaireVIPPalm Springs / Palm Desert Cities •8 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoIt was our first time eating at Mama Mia's, as we were in town for a wedding the next day. We arrived for a late lunch on a Saturday, and were happy to find it wasn't too busy or loud. Mike, our server pointed out some of the more popular dishes, but we went with our old favorites. My husband chose the salmon with a side of fettuccini, and I, an individual pepperoni. My pizza had the kind of crust I like best (chewy and not too thick), the right amount of tasty sauce, and the pepperoni were flavorful without being too spicy. The sauce on the salmon was not heavy, and had just the right amount of garlic. We finished off with tiramisu, an expresso and a cappuccino. The perfect ending to a very nice meal that we enjoyed. We sure wish we lived closer so we could try all the other things on the menu we love. I chose Mama Mia's due to the fantastic YELP reviews and I am so glad I did.More infoMamma Mia - FullertonPrice: Expensive• Italian• Fullerton•4.5
- MMarkOrange County •12 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 25, 2024We have been going to Mulberry Street for 40 years, since they originally opened. Last night our meals were superb, the specials of the day were creative and delicious. For the past few years we got bored with their menu, with no creative offerings. Last night for an appetizer we had squash flowers stuffed with ricotta, and lightly fried. They were amazing! One of the specials was Maine lobster over freshly made bucatini pasta with a creamy sauce, it was outstanding! Others in our party had the eggplant parmigiana, which is always great, and the cioppino which was very well prepared with an abundance of seafood. We don’t know if there is a new chef or not, but improvements were definitely noticeable! Even the bread was better…. All 4 of us were very pleased with our meals and the wonderful service we received.More infoMulberry Street RistorantePrice: Moderate• Italian• Fullerton•4.6
