Had the tuna appetizer on brunch menu but it needed something to enhance the texture profile- was mushy and needed crackers or some crunch. Flavor was good but the appearance and delivery were lackluster. Had delicious chocolate dessert and tiramisu. Will return for dinner soon!More infoQuality Italian- DenverPrice: Expensive• Italian• Cherry Creek•4.7

Unfortunately, this time going in with a reservation, the hostess/lady seating people was extremely rude. I tried to lighten the mood a bit, but she was just incredibly unpleasant. To be honest, if I hadn't been in before, I probably would have walked out due to her off-putting & cold attitude and demeanor (red hair w/ glasses). Hopefully this will be addressed considering the hostess is your very first impression of the service/experience to expect. We also received our salads, apps and entrees all at the same time which was also very disappointing and easily preventable. This is not normal though and our waitress was really great! The food was absolutely delicious!!! I would highly recommend as I've been in many many times and normally every aspect is top notch!More infoNorth Italia – DenverPrice: Moderate• Italian• Cherry Creek•4.8
- BBillyCincinnati / Dayton •3 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe celebrated my birthday at Tavernetta and it was delicious. We started with focaccia (good), Capesante scallops (very good), and Argumi citrus salad (good). Next was the seasonal pasta al forno, Semolina cakes with mushroom ragu (very good), and the radiatore boar and black trumpet pasta (amazing!). Then the Rohan duck was also incredible and finished with tiramisu and some sorbet (both were absolutely wonderful). The ambiance and service were excellent and all of the food was fabulous and unique. We had a nice chianti to go with dinner as well. I would definitely return for a special occasion (and go out of the way to have the radiatore and the duck again).More infoTavernetta DenverPrice: Very Expensive• Italian• Downtown / LoDo•4.7

He explained the history and culture of the restaurant, spoke on where all the ingredients came from, how the textures and flavors blended, and gave great recommendations for wines based on what we were eating and what profiles we were in the mood for in our wine. Highly recommend.More infoBarolo GrillPrice: Very Expensive• Italian• Cherry Creek•4.8

The Happy Hour cocktails and wine served by Dennis and team are the best! My Super Tuscan is especially tasty. The authentic Italian small plates menu has everything from salads and charcuterie to pastas, chicken, and veal dishes. The portions are more than ample! We chose the Rigatoni Con Salsiccia e Porcini -- a family favorite. We love the spicy Italian sausage and sauce. We also chose the Tortellini di Zucca (delicious pasta filled with roasted butternut squash, walnuts and parmesan cheese in a marinara vellutata sauce). One of my favorites is the Pollo Piccata (a generous and tender portion of chicken with capers and roasted garlic in a lemon chardonnay wine sauce)! The accompanying fresh vegetables were so flavorful. Come in for Happy Hour and You'll come back for dinner! The bar is fun and lively. The dining room is upscale and comfortable!
