Best Italian Restaurants in Golden Gate

The food is consistently good but I’d like to see variations in the menu. Pasta dishes are set in stone and don’t offer various pastas in an assortment of sauces. The staff is very professional and the owners are friendly and engaging.

Our server was friendly and knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. We love this restaurant but prices are getting a bit high for lunch. Have to be more diligent in sharing plates as we dont feel like spending over $100 for lunch for 2 .. overall it was great though

The service, wait time and food was superb. Noticed ansy customers that came in and expecting to be waited upon and served in a couple minutes. This is a very unreasonable expectation. We arrived at 4:10, had reservations for 4:15, was seated at that time. Heike (fabulous waitress, the best in our book) proceeded to greet us, take any drink orders from 4 of us, almost immediately. Put the order in, told us of the specials….we gave her our requests. Between drinks, appetizer, main course and dessert/coffee and enjoying company and celebrating our 27th wedding anniversary……we were in and out by 6pm, no rushing………..::quality service!! This is our go to establishment…..and whenever possible we request Heike. We give Verginas a 5star.

Sophia’s is the best of the best for Italian restaurants in our area There are so many to choose from and Sophia’s stands out in the crowd

We have eaten here several times and never disappointed. The server was excellent and attentive. The meals were outstanding. My wife had the Penne Boulagnese and I had the Branzino. We look forward to our next visit.
