Best Japanese Restaurants in Aliso Viejo / Laguna Niguel

We usually go to Ruth's Chris for our Anniversary. We came to King;s instead. Everything was great but they failed to acknowledge our 57th Anniversary. Ruth Shris always does. JOhn

This cute little Japanese restaurant across from The Montage was such a nice find. The sashimi was outstanding-high quality, fresh, served timely and in unique arrangements and flavor profiles. Highly recommend our favorite dish, the "O" Sashimi Sampler. The menu is extensive with a sushi bar, many sashimi offerings, tempura, teriyaki, salads, noodles, meat and seafood dishes. Customer service was attentive and friendly, especially for such a busy Saturday night on a holiday weekend. Thank you, O Fine Japanese. We'll be back!

We love this place! It is always consistent, the food is amazing, and the drinks are top-notch! Ambiance is nice too. Our server, Leslie, was very personable and fun. We only wish there was a location closer to us in San Clemente, but it won't stop us from coming back.

242 Fusion sushi was our go to favorite restaurant for years and we loved everything about it. This was our first time back after Miki passed away and reopened under new management. I’m happy to say that we loved the experience and the food was just as we remember it (more expensive though like all restaurants nowadays). We tried many of our old favorites and also some new dishes that we loved. I like how we can make reservations on OpenTable now, because there used to be no reservations and there was often a long wait. The restaurant is very small and it felt more crowded than before, but I think that is part of the charm of the experience. Not somewhere you go to have a quiet, intimate dinner, but somewhere you go to a have great food, very friendly staff and patrons, and great energy. As you enter the restaurant and when you leave, everyone in the kitchen and all the servers look up and wave goodbye and say thank you for coming. We will definitely keep coming back as often as we can.

Amazing! At first, it’s a little off putting that you are not allowed in the restaurant until your seating time. However, once you get in, you appreciate why you were made to wait, and the experience is worth the wait. The attention to detail and freshness of each bite is exceptional. A very intimate setting. We cannot wait to go back.
