Best Mediterranean Restaurants in Zehlendorf

We had a great view overlooking the Berlin zoo in the sunshine in March. The food was good - an interesting mix of different cuisines - if you like hummus platter style meals, it felt particularly good for that. The service was generally good, although we were refused water and bread which was sadly quite jarring with the overall experience. In most restaurants, I've found they're quite okay with providing a jug of tap water for the table and to provide extra bread if you run out. Besides this unfortunate weakness of the restaraunt, the ambience was pleasant.

We ordered the sourdough khachapuri with cheese and egg yolk (‘Ajaruli’) and the marinated chicken (‘Tapaka’), and everything was delicious. The sourdough was baked to perfection, and the chicken was incredibly juicy. Prices are on the higher side, though. We’d definitely come back and order the same again. Thanks to the staff for the great service!

Food was really good. I love octopus and my wife enjoyed the gambas. Service was attentive, ambience was casual and great. Just became a bit loud when tables were filled. Only odd part was we were reminded that there was a 2 hr limit, and were given 7 minutes to settle. We were not allowed to order our desserts or even complete the meal with dessert takeout of the chocolate cubes. The tables with 2 and 4 guests who had later reservations, actually received their entrees ahead of us, yet we were rushed. We were a party of 3 only, my wife and I ordered salads. My niece’s order was the tuna on risotto. Was it because we were behind the wall, unseen, or I asked for more bread? I’ll still return when I’m back in Berlin, hopefully in more relaxed conditions.
