Best Modern Australian Restaurants in Ashwood

Excellent quality food and range. I’m not usually a big scone lover but the ones in the high tea were so good I highly recommend them. The lobster portions of the high tea are so yummy. Also I added in the expresso martini’s and even though they weren’t as sweet as I usually like them they actually went well with the menu and I ended up preferring them that way.

Another enjoyable evening at Two Doors. Our table of 8 were seated comfortably upstairs and enjoyed some tasty entrees and more than a couple drinks. My highlight was the new stout on tap - it was a hefty 9% but the taste was exquisite dark and bitter but sweet and fruity.

Tasty food, some French and some molecular cuisine techniques and a great display of Australian produce, including finger limes, local Wagyu beef, kangaroo and green ants, as well as a lovely cheese display cabinet....amazing flowers goat cheeses that rival the French ones' would have been nice to include Holy Goat. Wasn't a fan of the Chinese caviar (Russian or Iranian are much better...but wars in both regions may limit the supply), but in the absence of good quality one, it would have been nice to find an alternative ingredient. The first dish was certainly one of the stars as well as the kangaroo. Definitely full after 13 dishes!.... Very nice to invite guests into the kitchen to participate and chat to one of the 15 chefs and see the magic from up close! Overall, a great experience to be repeated.

We decided for a change to have a steak each which was a good choice' medium rare with salad and fries. Choice of sauces and gravies. Great varied menu including a senior's selection. Good range of Wines but a bit pricey. Easy free parking at venue (EMRSL) and pleasant views from dining room....... Can recommend !
