Food out of this world, top notch service, and a beautiful setting - I can never say enough good things about the Merricks country store, definitely a stop that should be on everyone’s itinerary!!More infoMerricks StorePrice: Expensive• Modern Australian• Merricks•4.7
- SSoniaMelbourne •6 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoTasty food, some French and some molecular cuisine techniques and a great display of Australian produce, including finger limes, local Wagyu beef, kangaroo and green ants, as well as a lovely cheese display cabinet....amazing flowers goat cheeses that rival the French ones' would have been nice to include Holy Goat. Wasn't a fan of the Chinese caviar (Russian or Iranian are much better...but wars in both regions may limit the supply), but in the absence of good quality one, it would have been nice to find an alternative ingredient. The first dish was certainly one of the stars as well as the kangaroo. Definitely full after 13 dishes!.... Very nice to invite guests into the kitchen to participate and chat to one of the 15 chefs and see the magic from up close! Overall, a great experience to be repeated.More infoVue de mondePrice: Very Expensive• Modern Australian• Melbourne CBD•4.9
- TTriciaVictoria •7 reviews4.0Dined on Jan 27, 2025Great location, decent food, pretty fast service. Very busy on the long weekend understandably, booking is a must, however, you can only book inside. Normally would not be negative in a review, read on for further details. We were turned away Saturday, they were really busy- understandable, the markets were on too. We booked for Monday night 8pm inside then upon arrival, we were encouraged to sit outside by the same server from Saturday who seemed not very friendly. we were happy to sit outside & were going to ask to anyway ! Had to ask them to clean the table when drinks were delivered, food from the last customers was all over it, (they didn’t offer to clean it. )We watched a group of four arrive just after us, get turned away - told the place is booked out, however when I went to the bathroom soon after it was evidently nearly empty inside and very clean tables set up for the next day. They started shutting down by 8:45- 9pm, assuming this is why the four were turned away, seemed to be enough staff on. Go early to snag a table in the sun or book early.More infoHotel Phillip IslandPrice: Expensive• Modern Australian• Phillip Island•4.6
