    This is my second visit here in three days. First, my daughter and I had a lovely 3 course Sunday dinner and then I followed up with a 2 course lunch today. The server from dinner recognized and greeted me warmly when I walked in the door today. She also happens to manage the wine list and is extremely knowledgeable on the subject, so makes great food and wine pairing suggestions. The food is beautifully made with fresh seasonal ingredients, the staff provides excellent service and the ambience is comfortable and homey. Clipstone is a very enjoyable experience all around, and I highly recommend it.

    The private room is a really good space - quiet and very private, ideal for conducting conversations where you don't want to be overheard. We really appreciated each guest being able to choose from the menu, instead of having to choose in advance or all having to have the same (and one of our party had a restricted diet that the chef immediately catered for). Imaginative menu, with little amuse-bouches and plenty of bread brought to the table. And we weren't rushed at all - lunch took 2 hours. (It doesn't have a window but you can't have everything!) We are certainly coming back as soon as we have a large enough group.
