Best Pubs in Pulborough

Went there after reading several reviews. Easy booking (and also booking time change). Reception good. Food very good, especially the pork belly! Food quality excellent. The only VERY minor point was that we felt a little rushed. The drink order was taken quickly (excellent!) and the started quite shortly after that. The main course was served really a little fast after finishing the starters and we would have preferred a little more time to settle. I fully realise that a lot of people always complain about delayed service so this was unusual and a VERY MINOR COMMENT. We would obviously use again when suitable.

The food was very tasty, the service from Ems was fantastic and very attentive. The care for our dog was excellent and we left very happy.

Such a lovely place for a birthday celebration. The pod makes a wonderful private dining experience. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the service is excellent. We visit every month and there is always something different on the menu and I particularly appreciate the inventive vegan options. They are also exceptionally dog-friendly and provide dog beds, treats and water bowls. Great for campervaners like us as there's a big car park with plenty of space.

Good food, beer and ambience. Ancient building with lots of character. Open fires. Traditional pub feel and atmosphere. Friendly staff.

Always a good visit, I’m sorry but I don’t know the guys name from front of house but he is amazing, tentative without being overbearing. You can tell how much he loves the red lion.
