Best Seafood Restaurants in Avon

Food, service and place is great. I’d just disliked the practice of presenting the bill prematurely, disrupting the enjoyment of post-meal conversation.

We reserved a high top in CBar. It was perfect to watch the groomers on the mountain and fun to see a sled load up to take people up to Beanos. Seemed like everyone sitting around us was having a great time! Great night! Thanks!

We had a great dinner at Gashouse. Lots of great choices of Colorado fish and game on the menu but also a great cocktail!

We went there for the cioppino but sadly it was not available due to the changing menu. Instead, we ended up with the miso Chilean sea bass and shellfish linguine. Both dishes were cooked to perfection. For starter, the freshly baked artisan rosemary sourdough bread was a hit. As for the service, our server Brenn B was fantastic. In general, Vail dining is expensive and this restaurant is more or less on par with other upscale establishments. We were skeptical of dining at a seafood restaurant in landlocked Vail at first but Montauk turned out to be one of the best fine dining experiences we had during our 5 night stay in Vail.

Celebrated my son’s 21st birthday and it was outstanding. So appreciative that servers, waiter and manager all wished him happy birthday. Our waiter Dimitri was attentive and professional and provided great recommendations on food and wine and was mindful of my son’s allergy. We had lamb chops, lobster special, Hawaiian Kampachi, chicory salad and the most heavenly soufflés. The lemon soufflé may have been the best I’ve ever had.
