Best Seafood Restaurants in Carshalton

As a design historian, I have been dying to eat in this magnificent, historic building for years, and finally got my chance: the experience was definitely worth the wait! The front of this Modernist building has been restored from the original UK headquarters of Michelin Tires into two Claude Bosi restaurants. We ate at the casual oyster bar on the old garage level, which has a slim, but excellent menu (that also includes vegetarian and non-seafood items). The ambiance is spectacular, as one is surrounded by historic painted tiles featuring turn-of-the-century racers whose vehicles sported Michelin tires, a floor mosaic of Bibendum "toasting" all comers, and grand metalwork with the company's inital. The lovely, generous host allowed me a peek at the glamorous, formal upstairs dining room (which had not yet opened) so I could admire the stained-glass windows with unique Bibendum motifs in each. He also regaled me with interesting stories about the more recent history and renovation of the building. All of the staff were fantastic and attentive, but the oyster bar host was truly amazing--I am grateful he indulged me my every curiosity about the building! Really enjoyed our first visit to Fish! Kitchen in Kingston. Went to a 7:30 pm booking on a Friday evening as a family of five, and really exercised the menu sharing two tasty starters, tuna carpaccio and calamari, before eating a variety of lovely fish dishes, namely fish pie, grilled red snapper, grilled sea bream, grilled turbot and battered cod and chips. Portions were good, and service friendly. Indeed, our eldest daughter, on learning initially that fish pie was sold out, was delighted when the waiter managed to conjure up another portion following a visit to the kitchen. Looking forward to our next visit.

First time I've been someone posted it on tiktok and it looked amazing and yes it actually was the food was very tasty enjoy it all , recommended it to friends , would definitely go again 😍
