It all began with a love story and a dream. Linwood, a chef, and Ellen, a reporter, met 36 years ago in a restaurant of course! They married and began to envision that someday they would open a restaurant of their own. The restaurant’s first business plan was written at their dining room table on an electric typewriter. In 1988 Linwoods opened its doors, and it has been a labour of love for more than thirty years. Linwoods’ cuisine consists of the freshest ingredients, and inventive preparation. Our service is warm and attentive. We have developed a reputation for consistency an attention to detail. These qualities are key to our catering business as well.     My friends and I had a really nice time here. The music was amazing! The service by our waitress Ayanna was superb. The food was hit or miss unfortunately. The catfish nuggets were really good as well as the fried okra but I had the chicken fried chicken and it was really fatty. Several of my friends had the mac and cheese and no one finished and said that you start. It could have been a lot better. Only one of the six of us loved her meal and she had the pecan chicken and waffles which I tasted and it was delicious! The drinks were really good as well. In all, the vibe was great but the food could've been better

    I had previously been to KitchenCray and Zell’s Kitchen kept popping up on my Instagram feed so I decided to try it. The food was delicious and Darrin was very attentive and kind. I guess I expected some enhanced decor but there was none.

    Rachel took wonderful care of us. The food was delicious and served very promptly. There was a mix up with our Open Table reservation but manager Robert promptly texted me the morning of to accommodate us at an earlier seating because of the holiday. Rachel was very hospitable and made sure we had everything we needed. From the cocktails, to the appetizer, to the entrees and desserts we took to go, an outstanding meal. It was the perfect Christmas Eve dinner for our little family. A well-deserved reputation as an excellent establishment.
