Best Southern American Restaurants in Collierville

On 12/21/2024, me and my husband were seated against the wall at a high table for two. The table was super small and the bar seats were very uncomfortable. The bar seat felt as if you had to brace yourself so you would not slide down. I went and asked the host could we sit at a lower table. I could tell she had an attitude due to the look on her face. She said to me, I can move yall but you can only sit there for a hour and a half. The nerve of her to sound so rude!!!!! If yall want people to enjoy themselves hell allow them to sit comfortably. As for the food after being seated at a table comfortably, I give it a 1000/10.

Snackbar is, by far, the best restaurant in Oxford and is on our list of the best places we’ve been in the last few years. Stellar service (especially Johnny—an Oxford treasure), amazing bar program, and extraordinary food. Can’t say enough about it.

McEwen’s is a downtown staple for fine dining. I’ve never had an anything but amazing food and excellent service.

My friends and I were celebrating our 60th Deltaversary in our sorority. Our server Tim group 9 was so warm and welcoming. We were able to get the Wednesday special - short ribs of beef which melted in your mouth. The dish was perfectly seasoned. The collard greens were tasty as was the mashed sweet potatoes. The restaurant was packed but the service was quick and on point. Thanks for a wo needful celebration

There were four of us instead of six. The manager received my text with the updated headcount and responded promptly. We were seated at a four-top and were able to easily chat with each other. My salmon was exceptional. One of my guests chose the shaved Brussels sprouts salad, and the other two ordered the crawfish sandwich. Both of the gals with the crawfish were not impressed. It was dry and overdone. I think they expected a smaller crawfish cake similar to a crabcake. I don't believe we would order this dish a second time. I would order the salmon again. It was cooked perfectly, and the flavorful sauce and side vegetables were fresh and tasty.
