I started in my grandfather’s restaurant & worked my way up to running one of the most successful restaurants in NYC - Patsy’s Italian Restaurant. My grandfather worked his way up in the restaurant industry in the 1930's and '40s and in 1942 opened his first Italian restaurant, The Sorrento. When it came time to name our new restaurant, we decided on IL Sorrento in honor of my grandfather. I know my grandparents & my mom are smiling down on us with approval. I've lived in Westchester since 1984 & have always dreamed about opening an Italian restaurant here .. now the dream is a reality. The food and service was incredible. Great variety of meats from Brazillian sausage to spicy sirloin to filet wrapped in bacon to parmesan chicken to lambchops and much more. Excellent drinks as well. Try the Caipirinha. And the crust on the creme brulee was perfect.

No matter how crowded this restaurant is, you can actually talk to your tablemates without shouting. No beat-beat music blaring in the background. Oh, and excellent food. Tonight, we had branzino filleted tableside with a light lemony beurre blanc, chicken scarparello on the bone, and a great chicken parmigiana. The drinks from the bar are very generous and well-made. Particular commendations to the staff from Shawn to "Julius" who did yeoman service. Another great evening at Lenny's.

First time. Met Peter who is VERY present in the front of the house which a nice. Seemed understaffed as service was the weak spoke. But the meat was very nicely done and the busy staff were all friendly. Will be back.
