- VVinhVIPWashington, D.C. Area •39 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoFood was outstanding - even in the greater Washington Metro area where there are multiple Michelin Star restaurants. Everything was prepared with high-quality ingredients and seasoned just perfectly (well, except for the over-saucing of the appetizer sampler tray). The carpaccio was my favorite dish: melt-in-you-mouth, thinly sliced steak minimally seasoned and garnished with toasted baguette slices... I could have had just that for the entire meal. All of our entrees were done just perfectly -- my smart-assed son cut his fake wagyu from Australia with a butter knife and then his fork just to show us how tender it was. The more traditional, American-bred filet mignon I had was prepared absolutely perfectly -- not overly done, not too raw. My wife's seabass was seasoned with perfection. The desserts were all phenomenal -- from the mango sorbet to the carrot cake to the turtle cheesecake, all the dishes were "seasoned" just right for us. We usually HATE the typical American-style of over-sweetening desserts with tenfold amounts of the sugar that should go into any sweets, but this is one of the less than handful of restaurants in the States that does their dessert just perfectly from what we experienced at dinner last night. The only food critique was that the kitchen over-did it on the salty sauce for the appetizer tray we ordered. The bites themselves were outstanding... they were dragged down by over-saucing. Even my 16-year-old son commented that the apps on the tray would have been perfect if the sauce had either been on the side or more sparingly drizzled on instead of flooding the dish. The wine list is a bit limited but good enough for a nice dinner. The best part of the evening was the service. Simon was so friendly, welcoming, and attentive, he made a special birthday dinner feel even more special for us. Thanks to Simon, an outstanding dinner turned out to be one of our most exceptional evenings out.More infoEddie Merlot's Prime Aged Beef & Seafood - AshburnPrice: Very Expensive• Steak• Ashburn•4.6

- KKamWashington, D.C. Area •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoI recently celebrated my girlfriend’s birthday at Mastro’s, and it was an unforgettable experience thanks to the amazing staff and our incredible waiter, Rice. From the moment we arrived, the team greeted us warmly, with many wishing my girlfriend a happy birthday, which set a festive and welcoming tone. Rice’s service was truly exceptional. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and made thoughtful recommendations that elevated our dining experience. Every detail, from the timing of the courses to ensuring our glasses were never empty, was handled with care and precision. What stood out even more was the personal touch the entire team brought to the birthday celebration. The beautifully presented dessert and the genuine enthusiasm from the staff made my girlfriend feel so special. Rice’s professionalism made the evening perfect. Mastro’s went above and beyond to create a memorable night for us. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend asking for Rice if you want an exceptional dining experience.More infoMastro's Steakhouse - DCPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Penn Quarter•4.7
- JJendayiSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined on Dec 29, 2024My experience at Ruth Chris was absolutely amazing. After we got seated, it took almost 45 minutes to put our order in due to how busy it was at the time. We were celebrating our birthdays so we became a bit frustrated but our server Evelyn made it right! She was extremely apologetic though it was something out of her control, super kind and professional. Ended up giving us our first round of drinks on the house along with a glass of Prosecco. She then provided us with shots for our birthday and offered to take our pictures which she excelled at as well. The food was 10/10. I got the stuffed chicken, Mac& cheese and creamed spinach! Soooo good! Will be back!More infoRuth's Chris Steak House - Washington DCPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• West Loop•4.6
