Best Steak Restaurants in University City/Golden Triangle

The food was overall was very good!! We ordered the tomahawks steak and it was heavenly.. we also ordered the lobster Mac and cheese.. the lobster was very fishy and I couldn’t eat it. We also ordered the mushroom truffle pizza which was amazing and so the salad we ordered. Overall I would rate it 4.3 out of 5.

The Winery was quite nice for a late afternoon Thanksgiving meal. The food was delicious and the service pleasant. It made for an elegant and enjoyable holiday.

My sister and I decided to spend our Thanksgiving lunch at Le Coq in La Jolla, and it was an absolutely incredible experience. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warmth and a sophisticated yet cozy ambiance that set the tone for our holiday meal. Our waiter, Chris, went above and beyond to make our visit exceptional. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and made fantastic recommendations that elevated our dining experience. His professionalism and genuine friendliness added a personal touch that made our Thanksgiving lunch feel truly special. The food was exquisite, with every dish showcasing the perfect balance of flavor, creativity, and presentation. Each bite felt like a celebration, and it was clear that great care and passion went into crafting the menu. Le Coq is a gem in La Jolla, and it made our holiday memorable in the best way possible. Outstanding Thanksgiving meal. Great flavors and presentation and very tender Turkey. . Excellent service. We will continue to enjoy Eddie Vs thru the year and I imagine we will return again next Thanksgiving. Best regards Dyanne Routh.

We had delicious food, a lovely attentive waiter, the interior is beautiful, the only thing we found annoying was the elevator type music that kind of drove us crazy, but we still plan to go back!
