First, our server was very nice and explained the menu and answered our questions. She was very attentive all night. The bone in filet was awesome as was the creamed spinach side. Wine by the glass price and pour were good.

Morton’s is just a fantastic experience and is generally really well managed; if you feel like Ruth’sChris has slipped a bit come to Morton’s for a real steakhouse experience. Having said that our experience for Thanksgiving was pretty bad from a service perspective. We waited 15 minutes for menus and I had to flag down our server to finally get some. He was then able to take our drink orders and they were timely and fine, he came back quickly for our dinner order. He didn’t seem to know the menu very well couldn’t tell us anything about the sauces, but was gracious enough to run back to the kitchen to ask. He said he would bring some bread for the kids to snack on while we waited and we didn’t see him again for a half hour we were able to flag down a busser who brought some. Our reservation was at 2:15 and at just before 4pm we still hadn’t received our salads. A manager finally checked in on us and we let him know where things stood- our salads arrived following. The tables all around us that arrived a bit after we did were working on their entrées. Ours finally came, , our sides were incorrect- we couldn’t let our waiter know until we were just about done with our dinner, because we just never saw him over the course of the meal. I was finally able to flag him down to order another glass of wine and a set up. He charged us a surcharge for dessert add-on that we didn’t order and argued a bit when I told him that we weren’t sure what the charge was referring to, though he did remove the side charge, but also took the vegetables away. Overall, the waiter was not rude, but was utterly inattentive, and his communication when we encountered him was odd. Having worked in hospitality I try to be quite empathetic, and I know it was a busy evening, but sometimes just a quick check-in to let your table know that you were aware that they are waiting is all it takes, and his tendency to argue during the limited time he was at our table was offputting.

We have been here 4-6 times. As always the food was phenomenal. The service is discrete but attentive. The tomahawk is cooked perfectly. The bone marrow is unbelievable. The salads are tasty and lightly dressed. The potato stack amazing. We tried pig ears tonight: wow. The deserts have different flavors, different textures and colors. Mainly good. And one does not get bored with it
