The next step is the sense that the staff is experienced and truly interested in providing top notch service. That's a darn good start, wouldn't you agree?? In the early rounds, our table most enjoyed the East Coast oysters and the Gem Salad - the sizable salad featuring "perfect" greens, red onion, pecorino cheese and a distinctive vinaigrette. The entree round featured a light & tasty Branzino plus the mushroom risotto - which featured a deep, rich flavor profile that, in my humble opinion, did not benefit from the black truffle. Somewhat disappointing was the decidedly non-standard Cacio e Pepe. We were unable to identify the unexpected flavors but we easily agreed we prefer the old standard. The wine list is terrific, as is the sommelier. In this post-Covid restaurant world, I'm still struggling with the high price levels in quality big-city restaurants. Including a medium beverage tab, the cost of our visit was $150/person.
