Best Sushi Restaurants in Rancho Mirage

We originally had a table reserved for the outdoor patio but the hostess with the fabulous glittery skirt was kind enough to seat at the bar. I was happy with either one as it was a beautiful night. The two guys behind the bar were professional, prompt and energetic. They worked well together. The food is insane!!!! Spicy tuna roll topped with shredded fried potato sticks, shrimp tempura with 3 sauces to choose from, salmon sashimi just to name a few. All too notch 👌🏼 Keep up the great work Sandfish, you should all be so proud.

We thought the “pace” for ordering and serving our meal was very enjoyable. Food is fantastic. Highlight is the Stuffed Avocado starter. Avocado, stuffed with crab meat and spicy tuna, wrapped in very light tempura. Amazing! Ordered a couple of chef’s special rolls. Priceless wrapped with cucumber was really delicious. Basic Rainbow Roll was exceptional because quality of fish and proportion of fish to rice is better than most sushi places. We’ll be back.

Experience was fun. Husband got his birthday cake, it was a sweet gesture. James who did the teppanyaki table was very engaging and full of energy. We enjoyed it!

Our first time at this restaurant and we found it to be a gem. The service we got from Mickey was unsurpassed, the ambiance was engaging and our overall impression was very good. The food was DELICIOUS!!! We ordered the pear salad to start with, and boy, were we amazed! It was possibly the best salad I’ve had in the past 2 decades. Whatever you order when you get there, make sure to order a pear salad. You’ll thank me for it.

Maybe the best Japanese I've had since I was last in Japan. Sushi was fresh and delicious , the rice was perfection. The tempura was light and lacy. Everything was wonderful. Who knew in the middle of the desert you could find such an incredible little gem. Would run back here.
