Della Santina's Trattoria in Sonoma, San Francisco is a traditional Italian restaruant serving recipes mostly from Lucca, Italy. It was founded by Quirico (Dan) and Shirley Della Sanitina. With the passing of Shirley Della Santina - Quirico, his son Robert and wife Nicole continue to carry on the family business and Tuscan traditions. Quirico is the chef behind the menu and has provided what's been described as Italian comfort food in a gorgeously authentic Italian setting. When you walk in the front entrance you'll be greeted by truly Italian decorations and design, as well as fresh flowers on every table.

Della Santina's offers a variety of home made pastas, antipasti, soups and salads, juicy rotisserie cooked meats and fresh seafood. Local wines from Sonoma, as well as Italian wines and beers are all featured on the wine list. Della Santina's received the 2023 Sonoma Index-Tribune People's Choice Awards for Italian Cuisine and Romantic Meal.

    Della Santina's has always been a favorite of ours over the years. Not sure if last evening was just an unusual blip, but the service was very poor. We were seated at our reservation time of 6:30, received water and bread promptly. At about 7:00 (with tables around us being seated, placing orders and receiving food) we finally asked to see a waiter to place our orders. At about 7:10 we were finally able to order, but sadly, did not receive dinner until 8:00. The lasagna was burned, the ravioli entree was lukewarm. Very disappointing.

    We had lunch on the back patio. It was a lovely setting. The food and service were excellent. It was not crowded on this Sunday afternoon, so the setting was relaxing.

    My boyfriend loved his tortellini soup- however, I found the Lasagna a bit tasteless- needs more flavor The strawberry shortcake had more blueberries and was also very bland.. Beautiful ambiance and loved the staff!

    The service was outstanding! The food was perfect! Even though we didn’t order a dessert, they brought us one on the house!
