Richard had the roast chicken which was outstanding he was afraid it was going to be dry it was moist and juicy and tender. As a side we did the duck fat fries, which were excellent had to bring a few of those home kind of a large meal tonight. There were other seats free, so why seat us in the worst spot? It made the entire meal uncomfortable and frustrating.\n\nThe food was decent, especially the main course—I had the Spiced Long Island Duck Breast, which was flavorful and well-prepared. The service from the waitstaff was good, with attentive staff. But the initial interaction with the rude host and the seating issue completely overshadowed any positives. Owner Brian Piccini is proud of his award-winning Restaurant & Bar, Deuxave in the Back Bay. The inspiration behind the restaurant’s American Nouveau Cuisine is seasonality, with a focus on working with the finest farms and purveyors, sourcing out the freshest, local ingredients and amplifying their magnificence. The cuisine is strongly rooted in the nouvelle techniques of contemporary French cuisine, married with the splendor of American ingredients in a refined, but casual setting. Deuxave’s (pronounced doo-ave) name plays homage to its location at the corners of Commonwealth Ave and Massachusetts Ave.

I have always been a fan of Deuxave’s dinner menu. The balance of flavors is fantastic, and the staff are very friendly and professional. Will always be my to go spot for dining out and celebrations.

Superb meal. Our waiter, David, was delightful - attentive, friendly and professional. The food was outstanding. The meal was ideally paced. Attention to detail is amazing - my husband is gluten free and every course was served with sensitivity to that. We will look forward to returning!

My wife and I had a great dinner after watching the marathon all afternoon. We saw online that it was one of the best restaurants in Boston and it did not disappoint. Standouts were the lobster gnocchi, duck breast and onion soup. Also the servers being in suits adds a nice touch.

Such an exceptional restaurant! The food is a flavor explosion. Thoughtfully developed menu selection and excellent service. We enjoyed the gem salad and beet salad. The brioche rolls are amazing. The crispy Duck and Halibut were so delicious. We come every time we’re in town.

I had high hopes for Deuxave, especially after seeing their Easter menu, but my experience was a huge letdown due to the seating arrangement and the staff's attitude. The person who seated us was rude and unfriendly, making us feel unwelcome from the start. They sat us in the worst possible spot in the restaurant—cornered next to a wall where I couldn’t even move my arm without hitting it every time I needed to cut my food. There were other seats free, so why seat us in the worst spot? It made the entire meal uncomfortable and frustrating.
The food was decent, especially the main course—I had the Spiced Long Island Duck Breast, which was flavorful and well-prepared. The service from the waitstaff was good, with attentive staff. But the initial interaction with the rude host and the seating issue completely overshadowed any positives. I couldn’t enjoy my meal properly because of how cramped and awkward it was. For a restaurant with a Forbes rating, I expected much better. 1 star for the terrible seating experience and poor first impression.

Over time we try to get to all the best reviewed restaurants in Boston. Finally made it here for the Easter prix fixe; it did not disappoint. We had a great table for two with nice high back chairs. Leidy took care of us and she had just the right level of touch and interaction throughout the meal. The wine list is good, heavy on France, but a lot of good bottles. The dishes including the lobster fricassee and duck were perfect. Overall, a pleasant evening.

No miss restaurant experience. If you can’t or don’t want to risk picking a so so restaurant this is your place. Check’s all the boxes. Even having some value items on the menu. Generous appetizer portions and dinner portions allowing for meal sharing if you are inclined.

Duck leg confit was perfectly cooked. Lobster gnocchi was tender but had a bit too much acid for my taste. Arctic char was advertised as medium rare but ended up being medium (I did enjoy the fava beans.)
