Superica
– “where sunshine spends the winter” – also known as Tex-Mex cuisine served in an Old-West-inspired atmosphere alongside music inspired by Austin.

The cuisine is a combination of 1950s Tex-Mex and the wood grill that has taken the food to another level by way of fajitas and more. An “evolved Tex-Mex menu,” includes the classics: tacos, nachos, tamales and enchiladas plus more intricate dishes such as wood-grilled fajitas and shrimp tacos always served with just-made flour tortillas, all while paying homage to the traditions and recipes that have been a part of the Texas culture for decades.

The food and service at this restaurant is top notch. When you walk into the restaurant there is a cozy feeling met with welcoming smiles from the staff. The winter menu is available now and has so many great selections to satisfy whatever mood you’re in for your meal. I particularly loved the seared duck breast with winter vegetables and a balsamic glaze tonight. It was tender and delicious! Also, our waiter provided exemplary service and we can’t wait for our next visit.

We know the word "fusion" has been wielded about to justify everything from Hula Burgers to Mexican lasagna. But the East-meets-South brand of fusion happening at Poor Calvin's? It's creative; it's innovative; and it's probably unlike anything you've tasted in the ATL. After working in kitchens around the world, Calvin Phan wanted to shake things up a little. And so, into the mac 'n cheese, the Thai spices went. Now, Calvin's giving Southern staples, like sea bass and fried chicken, a decidedly creative Asian-inspired twist (and a nip of spice, too). He has created innovative dishes, approached in much the same way, leave the hands of Calvin Phan day in and day out. His dedication and attention to detail are evident in each dish and dessert. Our Server, Eddie, did an incredible job. He was exceptional, and I definitely recommended requesting him! We had a lovely dinner, enjoyed the sea bass & lobster, oysters & wonderful cocktails! Lovely evening!
