This restaurant was such a treat! It’s small and cozy inside and not too loud, which we so appreciate. The service was outstanding. Completely flawless. We tried the tasting menu and it was a great way to try some different foods with it being our first time there. Our favourites were the foie (SO silky) and the duck (beautifully crispy). We tried two cocktails- apple and beet. Both were so tasty and unique. Can’t wait to come back the next time we’re in Canmore!

Baekjeong literally means butcher in Korean which is a name we hold proud of. We proudly serve only the finest cuts of Premium Alberta Sterling Silver meat which prepared by 15 years experienced butcher. Every table features a built-in grill (use gas) to allow you to dine at your own table. All meat orders are accompanied by bottomless Korean style salads and vegetables. Combo meals have a choice of either soybean paste soup, kimchi stew, steamed eggs, soft-tofu soup or corn cheese.

The food was excellent. We ordered bugogi beef and short ribs to bbq. These were excellent and then ordered vegetable bibimbap and a tofu stew on the side because we thought there would not be enough vegetables but it was great. There was lots of sides and it came with lettuce. Service was awesome and fast. Only thing is I wish they could adjust spice level because we wanted to order a hot pot but they said it was spicy so we did not want to chance that but would have ordered if they could have adjusted it.

For the love of French cuisine and French culture located in the Beltline of Calgary, Cassis Bistro is the place. I was blown away by their exceptional food and wine list. Of course we had champagne by the glass and a French 75! The croquettes, the ravioli, the mushroom soup, the beef tartare and mussels frites! What I didn’t think we had room for was the desserts but I’m glad we did. The lemon tart and the creme brûlée was like being back in Lyon, France.
