Service was incredible, but they are quite aggressive about the water consumption, coming by every 5-10 minutes to refill your glasses, and frankly at 8,00€ a bottle, you would expect more from the water. Every dish was very interesting and made for a good experience, however the main course from the Omakase did not really work for me, in terms of the flavor combination, but that just personal taste. The state of the restaurant itself was quiet and chic, but there were quite noticeably cobwebs in some of the corners, and eye level… All in all I would recommend!

Die wesentliche Grundlage unserer Küche ist es, auf die klassische Menü-Folge Vorspeise-Zwischengang-Hauptgang-Dessert zu verzichten. Der Gast soll, ähnlich wie in den vielen sehr erfolgreichen spanischen Restaurants, jedes Gericht jederzeit bestellen können, also nach Lust und Laune nachbestellen, mit Freunden teilen oder einfach hintereinander weg als großes Menü essen. Dabei haben alle Gerichte die gleiche Größe und es wird keinen Hauptgang im dimensionierten Sinne geben. Die besten Grundprodukte stehen dabei im Vordergrund. Wir freuen uns darauf, Ihnen den Tisch mit kleinen leckeren Sachen voll zu machen. Wenn Sie noch nicht wissen, ob Sie großen Appetit haben, nehmen Sie doch erst einmal einen Drink an der Bar, ein Glas Wein oder ein erfrischendes Kölsch, dazu eine Kleinigkeit. Wenn Sie die köstlichen kleinen Gerichte sehen, kommt die Lust auf MEHR! Bestimmt.

The overall experience at the restaurant was pleasant. The service was good, but there’s room to improve. The food was well-prepared and delicious. However, the wine selection was quite limited. One issue that stood out was being charged separately for desserts, despite them being a part of the course meals I ordered. That wasn’t very nice, and it left a bit of a sour note on an otherwise good experience. Hopefully, it’s something that can be improved for future guests.

Allen, die Lust auf ein bisschen Abwechslung auf ihrem Teller haben, empfehlen wir einen Besuch im Kaizen. Zu finden in der Kölner Lindenstraße, gleich neben dem Hiroshima-Nagasaki-Park und nur wenige Schritte zu Fuß von der U-Bahnhaltestelle Moltkestraße entfernt, kannst du dich auf frische und nach Originalrezepten zubereitete Köstlichkeiten der japanischen Küche freuen. Das Kaizen in der Neustadt-Süd beweist auf leckere Art und Weise, dass die Kulinarik Japans viel mehr zu bieten hat als Sushi (wobei es dies hier selbstverständlich auch in abwechslungsreicher Auswahl gibt). So kannst du dich unter anderem gegrillten Lachs oder gegrilltes Hühnerfleisch in Teriyakisauce, Jakobsmuschel in Tempurateig oder Algensalat freuen. Natürlich ist auch an authentische Desserts gedacht. Im Angebot im Kaizen: Matcha Eis, Eis aus schwarzem Sesam oder frittierter Reiskuchen.

Absolutely outstanding friendly staff. The owner gave me what I considered the best table with a view of the restaurant. As I mentioned it was my birthday. A most wonderful gesture. The food and wine recommendations were superb accompanied by a wonderful romantic setting. Amabiele has now become my favourite. Thank you so much to a wonderful staff!!❤️

What an ultimate dining experience! 👍👍👍👍👍 We were swimming in satisfaction. Thank You! Our table for three was cozy and comfortable, the white tablecloths were beautifully starched; hard (like they should be) and the feeling in the room was sprinkled with excitement in anticipation for a culinary adventure. With each course, we experienced the chefs exquisite creations. What a talented artist who can compose aesthetically presented dishes with harmonious and sumptuous flavors (and with sometimes a crunchy surprise). Needless to say, we generously explored the wine list making the evening a joyous celebration. Nils, Michelle and Greta made us feel well taken care of without stuffiness or pretentiousness. This is for me a TOP address in Köln and beats other Michelin restaurants with 5 Open Table stars across the board.
