Goldener Anker serves gourmet international cuisine. Owner Björn Friday opened its doors in 2001 to give tourists and locals a modern establishment to have a fine dining experience. Goldener Anker offers a menu with fare, such as amuse-bouche, herb beef, fried scallops and Australian sirloin with baked shallots. Plates of fine cheese or fresh fruit and nuts are also offered. Goldener Anker is situated in downtown Dorsten. It has a variety of apéritifs and wine pairings with meals. It hosts cooking events for corporate celebrations, birthday parties and more. This restaurant welcomes reservations.

Owner and chef Elmar Simons creates seasonal menus that change based on the local quality ingredients that are available. During the spring, guests can experience Variation of Alaska Wild Salmon, Pot au Feu of Asparagus Delbrücker and Driburger Maibockrücken. Those looking for an elegant dish at Balthasar will appreciate the perigord truffle essence, while the Forest Pigs Belly is always a favorite. Make sure to save room for dessert dishes like the blueberries and mascarpone and the Balthasar rhubarb cake for a complete meal experience.
