Beautiful open air restaurant overlooking the bay. The big appeal is He tor, a world class chef who offers a highly inventive menu. Best quality high end dining and excellent service. We come whenever we are in Punta Mita.

We and another couple went to Azafran to celebrate their 6th anniversary with their tasting menu. It was excellent. Nice, smaller size portions so that you could enjoy the entire tasting without feeling like you were overwhelmed. We did the wine pairs which were very nice and from several Argentian wineries and one from Guanajuato. From the starter of beef tartare to the leek and mushroom soup followed by Octupus and choice of Filet or Sea base, it was delightful. Only to be topped by a delicious and beautifully presented desert and Carajillo drink. Thanks for a great evening.

During the low season (from July 23rd to October 13th), we operate with 2 service times: 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM, and we close at 4:00 PM.

High season hours (starting October 15th) will be 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM, with closing time at 5:00 PM.

To make a reservation, the system requires a non-refundable prepayment of $120 pesos per person for round-trip boat transportation. This amount is not refundable in case of cancellations or no-shows. If you hike in or arrive by your own boat, this payment will serve as a deposit and will be deducted from your bill on the day of your visit.

Please note; our weather and waves can change on a moment's notice. We may have to cancel the water taxi and close the restaurant if the waves are too high. This only happens occasionally but if we do you will receive a text on the phone number you leave with open table.

The dining room wraps around an outdoor patio with shady palms and another central fountain. In between is nestled the boutique Tequila Bar, serving a wide array of top-flight tequilas and mezcals.

Perfect views and service. Noise level was low, able to have conversation. They had a live mariachi band which was wonderful.

We had an extraordinary celebration of Mi Amigo’s 60th Cumpleanos. The meriachis always spectacular. We had a big crew of 25 for my 60th two years ago and it’s just such a special experience
