Leonard Wilfred Davies, born 19 December 1906, started a butcher's dynasty now four generations old. His butchers typical cheeky sense of humour now lives on through his grandchildren along with his knowledge of butchery.

In 1997 Leonard’s grandson Richard opened The Station Inn, which quickly generated a great reputation for quality steak. With Richard’s son, Ben’s passion and expertise as Head Chef and Butcher, The Station’s dining experience is a true reflection of the families deep passion for serving amazing steak.

20 years on from opening The Station a major upgrade has taken place, which at its core aims to celebrate the families heritage and knowledge of meat. In order to identify your exact preferences the chefs help you choose the best cut of beef to cook for dinner. It makes for an unforgettable ‘butchery and dining’ experience.

Called in for some food and super glad we did. An absolutely amazing dining experience from start to finish, the food was amazing, steaks cooked perfectly great choice of both puddings and starters, waitresses were super friendly and helpful. Can not fault the restaurant in any way. Super happy we chose to eat here! We Will certainly make this a regular occurrence!

The staff were helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. We chose the three course menu for £14 and each course was excellent with large portions which we didn’t expect at that price. I would highly recommend dining here on a Monday evening. It was popular so booking in advance would be wise..

This stunning 14th century pub in the unspoilt village of Kinnerley offers beautifully prepared seasonal fare alongside delicious pub classics. Warwick Kidd started his career as a part time pot washer at Ludlow's Michelin starred La Becasse under Head Chef Will Holland. His natural ability meant it wasn't long before he was starting to cook and his career soon blossomed. He moved away from Ludlow to gather experience which took him to France, where he cooked for 2 Michelin starred Jean-Luc Rabanel.

Zach Hermon's career started at the age of 15. He has worked at some of the country's most prestigious restaurants including Raymond Blanc's 2 Michelin starred 'Le Manoir aux quat saisons' and more recently 2 Michelin starred 'Moor Hall' in Lancashire - Winner of first place at The Estrella Damm National Restaurant Awards.

Great setting, we were in the conservatory overlooking the river. We had roast dinners, one pork and one beef. The beef was more red (rare) than pink as initially described. My wife wished she had taken the pork option. That said the it was a good roast dinner. They had run out of our preferred dessert but our alternative was yummy. I would go back the next time we are visiting Ludworth.
