   Excellent Filet Mignon Steak, cooked to perfection. I had a rare steak and they got it perfectly. It was truly a wonderful experience.

   Double Nickel is always our first choice. We have celebrated many occasions. Foods is always outstanding, environmentally sound and Services is always superior!

   Our server was fantastic! She was very attentive, answered all questions, and very welcoming. The food was not only absolutely delicious but was also very speedy in coming out. I would absolutely recommend for a lovely date night or celebration!

   Amazing place! Our waitress was extremely nice. We were treated like her most important table. Never had to ask for anything. She was always there with refills, great drink and add-on suggestions and always engaging. The food was well prepared and well presented. We were there for our anniversary and the waitress totally blesssd us with a slice of the best chocolate cake I have tasted! Double Nickel you made it great! Thanks again!

   As much as I would love to leave a great review, I cannot. We had a 7:30 reservation, but did not get seated until 8:00. The restaurant was clearly overbooked. When dining at an upscale restaurant I expect some ambience and a relatively quiet, peaceful environment. This was absolutely not the case. It was extremely loud, over-crowded, and had the ambience of the food court at the local mall. The tables were packed in so tightly that patrons had difficulty getting in and out, and the servers struggled as well. We have been dining here on New Year’s Eve for a number of years and have seen a continual decline in the level of our experience. Originally, all tables were covered with nice tablecloths, a free glass of champagne was offered to patrons, tables were separated so that people could actually move around, and BREAD was served along with the meal without an extra charge PER PERSON! (A VERY MINOR “complaint” would include the <10 black-eyed peas that we had to hunt for! When I laughed about this to our server, they commented that the kitchen was being “stingy” with those tonight 😳). Clearly, the owner/management has become interested only in the bottom line…MONEY, rather than creating a special experience for their patrons. We will likely not be spending that much money on that type of experience in the future. The POSITIVE aspect of the night was that the food was very good.

   Definitely my favorite restaurant here in Lubbock. Moved here a year and a half ago and have been to many. This one was my absolute favorite! I highly recommend!
