              Home of the decadent Hula Pie, that ice cream bomb, Dukes Kaua’i did not disappoint. A lovely open-air dining room overlooking the ocean, it provides a bountiful salad bar and excellent fish, meat and vegetarian dishes. The tropical drinks are great and it all makes for a fun, delightful evening.. The young people responsible for service are friendly and always helpful. You’re sure of an enjoyable experience.

              Very disappointed in the food. Our steak was very tough to the point of almost not being able to cut it with a steak knife and the mashed potatoes were bland and runny. Salad bar was out of 80% of everything and when we asked if they were going to restock we were told just a flat “no”. The drinks and dessert were good but definitely a disappointing night out.

              Great service from out waiter, Craig. The baked swordfish was the best dish we’ve had on the Island! The sweet basil sauce was a perfect accompaniment. And if you’ve never had their calamari, please do. We get it every time we come to Duke’s or Keoke’s on Kauai! And of course the view is just incredible. We really did have a 10+ dinner there.

              Food was “meh,” which surprised us since we have eaten at Dukes, Kimos, Leilani’s and Jake’s in various places and always loved the food. Best part of this Dukes was the salad bar . We were disappointed as we had saved this for our last night on Kaua’i as a special last treat.

              It’s always a pleasure to dine at Duke’s. The food is always delicious, the servers are accurate and spot on, the AYCE salad bar is the bomb, and the ambience is the best w a beautiful view! Valet parking is comp, just tip the valet. We celebrated a birthday and the birthday gal was surprised w the famous Hula Pie and candle. We all shared it! It’s the best dessert ever!!!
