Attractive, nice menu options, wine list in the pricey range, server was very attentive. Of our table of 6 most thought their meal was fine, but didn’t rate it exceptional. 2 had the eggplant parmesan and didn’t care for it at all

Food was good but a bit overpriced. We had calamari and a Caesar salad for one meal, and the ribeye with scalloped potatoes and risotto for the other. The Caesar salad was unremarkable, the calamari was mostly tender and not chewy but the breading was thick, the steak had nice flavor and was on the rarer side of medium rare but was thin and fatty, and the risotto and potatoes needed some salt. The ambiance was welcoming and romantic, but the server was a bit slow and inattentive. For the price paid, I would have expected a bit more from the food and service, so overall it was a good but not great experience. We would try again in the hope that the service would be a bit better and that either the food quality and portions would be elevated to meet the price or the price would be adjusted to more adequately reflect the offerings.

Wanted to treat my team to a quality year end lunch and 1111 Mississippi delivered! I appreciate having top tier, neighborhood dining in the city. Thus restaurant reminded me that there are many gems sprinkled across STL.
