   This was our sixth time as a family to Enzo and Lucia’s. The food was just as delicious which was great for celebrating a holiday dinner with extended family in town. For whatever reason our server, who was new to us on this trip, came off as pretty inflexible. Our son and nephews that were with us have a mild egg allergy - the server was just doing his job which we respected, but seemed to accuse whoever our prior servers were as “lying to us”. Previously the chef was able to cook up a breaded chicken cutlet and our son never had any issue with it. This time, the server expressed that it was impossible and their chef would never be able to accommodate. This left us confused since we never had an issue with it before and even when sharing this, our server continued to insist that the prior servers were wrong. Perhaps Enzo and Lucia’s had a recent bad experience with allergies and has changed their policy - that would have been better to have explained to us than accusing prior servers of lying. The rest of our service after ordering was fine, but really felt transactional, perhaps since tip for our large group was already included in the bill. It seemed more of an inconvenience towards the end to provide us with additional beverages - the server didn’t seem to want to go around the table to serve our nephew and expected us to do it. Again, it was fine, but we have become accustomed to much more inviting service from our servers at prior visits. We hope this is a speed bump and will see a return to form the next time we decide to bring our family and friends to this restaurant that has become a favorite of ours.

   This is by far the best Italian restaurant in the northern suburbs. The food is always amazing, as is the service. They are welcoming attentive and make you feel very special. I highly recommend Enzo and Lucia for any every day, dining, a special occasion or an amazing date night. Just make sure you make a reservation because I’m not the only person who feels this way about this restaurant.

   Let me start by saying I love this restaurant, but last night wasn't up to the usual high standards as an experience, although the food was excellent as usual. We arrived on time for our reservation, only to be told "we're running behind". We sat at the bar, had a drink, and they sent over a free bruschetta while we waited 45 minutes for our table (it was a very nice gesture). Eventually we sat down at 7:15 for a 6:30 reservation. While it was a bit irritating, I totally understand that sometimes timing gets out of synch due to diners taking longer than planned. The problem really developed when the waitress continually rushed us. Then we placed our order, received our salads, and before we were finished our dinners arrived. So, we went from being very delayed to get our table, to then being rushed with the meal. It was just so out of character compared to previous experiences here. Even with the issues, Enzo and Lucia will remain a place I want to go, as the food is delicious.

    Beautiful room and fabulous food. The 4 of us had fish and it was great. A bit noisy as it's a rather small room.
