   We were seated 1 hr before closing. Never felt rushed -service was excellent! Food was outstanding! Dessert lounge upstairs was a great finish to our evening! We will return next time we’re in town!

   A very pricey restaurant with a huge disappointment We live on Longboat and finally got to eat here ; Reservations are sketchy !!! I ordered a Pepper Steak “ Rare “ which came at least Medium and by the time it was replaced my $12 mashed potatoes where cold . My daughter ordered the crispy Duck which was very dry even with the sauce which was limited as well.so much for their specialties !! We planned on the desert bar upstairs however did not want to invest any more dollars in this huge disappointment!! Our favourite is still the Shore and Chart House and recommend you try these two instead !! There is zero atmosphere, no beautiful views and huge prices for disappointing food and service

   Highly anticipated but very average food. Odered filet and strip steaks and veal. All meh. even the sides …a la carte.. were just ok. High priced, yet mediocre. Cannot recommend. Better tasting steaks at chains.

   I love this restaurant. We eat here often. My favorite on the island. Only disappoint this time was that they ran out of apple pie

   Short-staffed (service, bakers) upstairs — on this (and recent) visits. Desserts were very, very limited — so, the dessert experience is not up to usual standards. We also had a bit of confusion re: our dinner order though the food was delicious.

    The snapper was very good. I had the mashed cauliflower for a side dish which was probably the best I’ve ever had. The dessert loft almost had too many choices. I selected the blueberry pie which tasted better than the ordinary pie you’d get at another restaurant or a grocery store. It was somewhat noisier than expected, but that was probably because of a large group in our room. The loft area is much quieter. Note that it is fairly expensive for the area, but for a special occasion or an occasional splurge, that is expected.
