fauna is about the things we love: eating and drinking with friends and family in a fun space. Our menu is seasonally driven and we support local farmers and producers wherever possible. We love the neighborhood and the space and are so happy to be open in Centretown.


We like to have fun in the kitchen. We serve small plates so you can try more than one dish. We use local ingredients wherever possible. We’re inspired by where we live, places we’ve been and things we’d like to do.

                                Had our wedding anniversary at Fauna while visiting Ottawa this weekend. Hard to find a spot that was open in downtown Ottawa and Fauna was one that was open on sundays and had a great meal here and the staff were excellent

                                Our server was amazing. The food was out of this world. We came for my birthday and the whole staff was amazing. The bartender crafted us some delicious cocktails before we sat down. Both of our meals were top notch. Really no complaints. I would definitely come back the next time we are in town. 10/10

                                Jon, the head chef and owner, offers wonderfully refined flavors. I would strongly recommend Fauna to all foodies and those looking for good food at the right price. We chose to sit at the bar where we could watch the bartender prepare exotic cocktails. They also have a good wine list.

                                Wonderful experience as usual. Service was great and personal. Food fantastic. Just a bit disappointed on the Pouding Chomeur. A bit too salty (Baking soda?) Fauna is a regular for us. We will come back for sure.

                                We had an excellent evening! The food was spectacular, the wine list was extensive, and the service was amazing. I couldn’t recommend this place more. We look forward to coming back.

                                The food (carpaccio, shrimp toast, bucatini and octopus) was delicious! The waiter was also excellent and very attentive! We even received a free shot (which was very good!) for my birthday. Love the ambiance as well! Great experience and we will definitely be back!

                                We both had an absolutely fantastic experience at Fauna last night. The server and the sommelier were both extremely helpful and friendly with all of our requests and questions. Thank you to the whole team.
