fauna is about the things we love: eating and drinking with friends and family in a fun space. Our menu is seasonally driven and we support local farmers and producers wherever possible. We love the neighborhood and the space and are so happy to be open in Centretown.

We like to have fun in the kitchen. We serve small plates so you can try more than one dish. We use local ingredients wherever possible. We’re inspired by where we live, places we’ve been and things we’d like to do.

Hello, Fauna's Valentines Day experience will include a five course set menu priced at $125 plus tax and 18% gratuity per person. Please note that there is no HST applied to food, beer and wine items. The set menu will not be able to accommodate vegan or vegetarian diets this evening. There will be both an early and a late seating with guests receiving two to two hours and fifteen minutes for the first seating. There was some new menu items they were absolutely outstanding! And our server was top notch the restaurant was full for good reason !

We go to fauna every year for our anniversary, and it is always wonderful. This time was even better. We were taken care of by Colin and he really went above and beyond to make sure our experience was special. The awesome food and delicious drinks helped too. We will be back!

We had a lovely evening with excellent food and service. The oysters were fresh, delicious and served with 2 sauces that really elevated the taste. Another stand out dish was the seafood chowder, really delicious. We enjoyed the rest of the meal and I loved the pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. Also noted that our cappuccinos were very good. I would highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to going again.

The ingredients are fresh but trying too hard to be fancy while slightly missing the mark. I ordered the cod and the portion was very small leaving me still hungry. For a vegetarian pescatarian there are very few options so the ones they do have could be better. My dinner companion ordered bucatini and said it was ok but slightly overcooked. The setting is beautiful and the staff well trained. I would go back for the atmosphere but not the food.

After 10 years, Fauna is still one of the best restaurants in Ottawa. The food, drinks, atmosphere and staff are all top rate. Do not miss out on this Centretown gem.

Lovely dinner out with my daughter. Interesting and tasty food with attentive thoughtful service. Daughter loved the unique cocktails and we both enjoyed our mains and especially the elk appi.
