Tao Uptown: A Consistent Winner Tao Uptown consistently impresses, regardless of how busy they get. The service is always top-notch – friendly, attentive, and efficient. We've been particularly impressed with the managers, who are always visible and proactive, even following up with us the next day to ensure we had a positive experience. The restaurant itself boasts a vibrant and modern atmosphere with energetic music that creates a lively ambiance. It's one of our absolute favorite spots for a night out. And the food? Simply delicious! Some of our must-tries include: SHRIMP AND SCALLOP SPRING ROLL: Light and flavorful, with a delightful dipping sauce. SATAY OF CHILEAN SEA BASS: Tender and succulent, perfectly cooked and seasoned. SPICY TUNA TARTARE: A vibrant and refreshing dish, served with crispy rice for added texture. CRISPY ORANGE CHICKEN: A classic for a reason – perfectly crispy and tangy. FILET MIGNON PEPPER STEAK: Cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful. TRIPLE PORK FRIED RICE: A flavorful and satisfying dish with a variety of pork options. Highly recommend! Small restaurant with amazing atmosphere. I lived in Rome for a period so my standards for Italian food are pretty high. THIS MET THAT LEVEL. The food was authentic and so was the service. The owner (I'm assuming) greeted each party with a "Ciao!" The food was top notch too. We got the Arancini Catanesi to start. Felt like I was back in Trastevere. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and noise level was energetic but not hectic. Would definitely come back during the spring/summer to sit out on the balcony.

Just excellent food, drink and service from Serra. Tiramisu is the best. Spaghetti and steak also so delicious.

This cozy spot on the lower east side is very trendy with its gem named cocktails and seasonal menus. It is clearly incredibly popular as tables turn over quickly and there is never an empty seat. The food comes quickly and is deeply flavorful. The menu consists of dishes that can be harder to find, even in a cultural hub like NYC. I do wonder if lunch service is a little less bustling as at times I found it difficult to hear my dinner partner. I also wish they would tell you about the QR code for the food menu as it is on a physical drinks menu and that’s a bit confusing. Overall I’m glad I made it to Soothr and look forward to trying their sister restaurant Sappe soon.

We ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara, Tartufata, and Margherita Pizza, and each dish was absolutely delicious--perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. Also, Nutella calzone was so tasty. The service was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall pleasant experience. The outdoor seating is a standout feature, offering a cozy and charming ambiance, especially during the Christmas season with all the festive decorations. It's a great spot to enjoy a meal while soaking in the holiday spirit. Highly recommend this place for both the food and the atmosphere!
