Best Brunch Restaurants in Borough

We had drinks, no food hence the low rating on food as there’s no option but to score it something. Love Grind. Excellent service and good quality. Always a good vibe.

Great service and delicious food in a classy setting

The food was great, and the ambience was calm, with conversations and the usual restaurant noise, which was nice. The only down-fall was the service. It was slow and rather inattentive. We first ordered the drinks, and they send us the wrong drinks, once this was changed; We received the mains, however, the cutlery was not changed and we had to stand up and ask at the bar/staff section to change this for us (after trying to call the waiters to change this for us). After the mains, we also had to wait a long time before they would ask us if we wanted any desserts or coffees. We ordered lovely desserts! However, before we did, the waiter brought us one menu of the Bar Nibbles, instead of three dessert menus... Once we finished our desserts, we asked for the bill (which we also had to stand up to get as no waiters were looking around the tables)... and to our surprise, the bill was also wrong, which we flagged to the manager (also having to stand up, instead of the staff looking around the tables). I went back to the table hoping that they would bring the corrected bill... which never really came! We had to ask if we could pay before we left!! (some other people might not do this and it'd be a business losing money!) Instead of the waiter taking the payments, they simply left us with the card reader for us to sort out!! At that point we were truly considering not paying.... It was the cherry on top. It's a shame as the food is lovely and the atmosphere is great! But the service was truly poor and not up to a minimum standard.

Nice place to eat, however, food and especially wine is extremely overpriced.

The service was quick, attentive but not intrusive. The food was delicious. The ambience was good. My only criticism is that the food (burgers) were served on printed paper, which became wet with the juices of the food & sauces. The paper disintegrated snd stuck to the bottom of the burger which meant we inadvertently ate a bit. This wouldn’t be too bad if the paper was plain, but it had a lot of print on it. I only hope the print is not toxic or carcinogenic. Maybe use plain paper or none at all?
