- RRodPalm Springs / Palm Desert Cities •4 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWhile we don’t frequent Tropicale, when we do “think” to visit the establishment we always say “We need to come here more often!”. The food and service is always excellent, awesome value for the money! And the atmosphere is always relaxed, inviting while still being just a touch up-scale. We enjoyed an evening of appetizers, cocktails and dinner; eight of us! Not one suggestion for improvement. To top it all off, everyone had smiles on their faces. We have promised ourselves to not let our memories lapse and more frequently take advantage of all Tropicale has to offer!! I could name two or three other local establishments, all on Palm Canyon, that draw locals (us) and visitors. Tropicale is FAR superior in every aspect. You won’t be disappointed. I strongly suggest reservations.More infoThe TropicalePrice: Expensive• Californian• Palm Springs•4.7
- TTeriOrange County •6 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe were seated at a very nice table in the main courtyard and the ambiance was so lovely. Our server was top notch both in his friendliness and skills, they don't come much better than this. The only glitch is my husband's food came and when he took a couple of bites he realized it wasn't what he ordered as there was no chicken and large shrimp in the pasta, plus he thought it was supposed to be a different pasta. They quickly changed out his meal and brought the correct one super fast and all was good. My dinner was salmon, a very nice large piece with very large delicious asparagus and coconut/pineapple jasmine rice. It turns out that it was way too sweet for me but the salmon wasn't flavored with it, only the rice plus there was more sauce to add to the salmon, which I didn't. I wouldn't order it again unless I could just get the whole meal seasoned nicely with no fruit flavoring (I personally like a Thai coconut flavor so thought I would like this too but the added pineapple flavor didn't work for me so the rice was the only part that I didn't finish. We didn't stay for dessert as we were off for drink somewhere else but we will look forward to dining there again when we are in town - it was really nice and very special. This restaurant knows how to treat their customers very well.More infoSpencer's RestaurantPrice: Expensive• American• Palm Springs•4.8

- HHannaLos Angeles •11 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoFood was great as usual. Shared the pate, which was very good. Plenty of pate, grilled whole grain bread, variety of fruits, pickled red onion, pickled green onion slices(first time having this-it was slightly sweet & tasty), & jam. For my entree,I ordered my usual Gorgonzola & Granny Smith apple with grilled chicken. MUCH better than my last visit. My only complaint last visit was the lone thin slice of apple. That’s correct. ONE slice of apple. Perhaps the kitchen supervisor was new(?). Anyway, the salad was great. My friend had the rare grilled tuna sandwich. VERY good. My last visit, my MIL had the same & was also very pleased with her choice. We will continue to be regular patrons. The food & service are great. The brief tour of the garden/nursery is a nice distraction from LA traffic & the hustle of city life.More infoFarmhouse at Rogers GardensPrice: Expensive• American• Corona del Mar•4.8

Peaceful, and an attentive, but not intrusive, staff.More infoCapricePrice: Expensive• Californian• Redlands•4.6
