Best Brunch Restaurants in National City

Always an amazing time. Such fun at inside out. The ambience the staff the good excellent, never a bad time when we come. Thank you for all you do. One request is to bring back the bolognese. So so good. :)

First time at Kalaveras in Chula Vista & experienced their brunch menu with some micheladas, bottomless mimosas, &shots for dessert. I decided to get the ceviche appetizer w a side of there spice sauce (4/5 stars), my friends ordered adobada steak and eggs 4/5 stars, pasta al Diablo (4/5 stars), and barbacoa omelette (3/4 stars; not because it was bad but it was basic compared to the other dishes- taste was 4/5stars). Server and service was 4/5 stars not because they were lacking but because they didn’t go above and beyond. They did give great service overall, especially refilling our mimosas before they reached the bottom of the glass. They were very aware and very attentive with us and his other tables. Overall experience: Fell in love with the Redando beach location so had to try this one with my San Diego friends.I would give a “10/10 would recommend” and would come back again. Rating scale: My ratings to give a 5/5 would have to be Michelin Star restaurants so this 4/5 is still exceptionally high rating for this establishment in my books. Hope this helps &Enjoy!

Took my wife here for Valentine’s Day pre set menu. Was delicious. She got the wine pairing and Andrew our waiter was so knowledgeable about all the different wines with every course. I got an Old fashion and was so yummy. Just a great date night and loved the atmosphere and Andrew was an incredible waiter. Will definitely be back!

The food was truly great as usual… I think the hostess was having a bad day, so I won’t name or fault her for the service she gave us. But our waiter Peter gave us an amazing experience and was super kind. A shout out to Peter for his professionalism and for the great service he provided us. Truly an outstanding individual that made us feel special as we celebrated a special day. Thank you. I always recommend The Henry for its consistency of being one of the greatest restaurants in San Diego.

I finished every crumb of my chili relleno omelette. The house potatoes were a tasty complement to the omelette. The coffee was rich and smooth. I definitely want to return to try their carnitas omelette which my friend had for her brunch plate. The prices were reasonable which makes this a place I would gladly visit often. I like their mission of serving organic, farm-to-table foods. There is ample free parking behind the restaurant in a multi-storied parking structure.
