Perched on the hillside offering panoramic views of The Cobb and Jurassic Coast, The Oyster & Fish House is arguably the most picturesque spot in Dorset to enjoy locally sourced fish and seafood. A large terrace wraps around the informal, light and airy dining room offering the perfect al fresco experience with unrivalled views of the coastline. We support our local fishermen, so you may often see them bringing their catch up to the restaurant. In addition to a selection of snacks and starters, you can expect simply grilled fish on the bone, and of course, the delicious Dorset oysters and shellfish we have on our doorstep. The menu can change twice a day depending on what the fishermen bring to us. Please note we do not serve meat dishes, but we do have vegetarian, vegan and kids dishes available.Large tables are welcomed, and for bookings of 8 or more we do ask you to pre-order your meal. Please note we only accept card payments

You'll find us nestled snugly right on Seatown Beach, hidden along one of the many coves that litter Dorset's famous Jurassic coastline. Once a smugglers haunt, the pub now serves a seasonal menu with a focus on seafood and fresh local produce. Complete with wood fires and Palmers award winning ales, the pub is the perfect location to refuel after a day on the coastal path or for a special evening meal with friends or family.

We get excited when it comes to food. Head Chef Joe, and his team, source only the finest local ingredients. Bringing together gastropub classics and a traditional open fireplace – our bistro-bar is the perfect recipe for a satisfying supper. Or join us in our restaurant. Overlooking the beautiful garden, it’s the ideal place for that special occasion. Our mouth-watering seasonal menus are complimented by a stunning selection of wines. In summer, why not head outdoors for dinner. Sample a bubbling, stone-baked pizza, fresh from our authentic wood fired oven. It’s the kind of food that makes warm evenings magical. Especially served with a locally brewed, ice cold cider. We cater for all, so let us know if you have any specific dietary requirements. If you love food like we do, book now or give us a call.

We travelled from mid-Somerset once again to enjoy one of our favourite places and lunch venue. The food was as good as ever, delicious fish soup and fish pie. Our only disappointment was that, while the staff were as efficient as always, there was no warmth or smiles when we arrived or when we were served. Feeling welcome is an essential element when we dicide whther to come back again.

Delicious food with wonderful friendly & attentive service - 6 of us 3 couples - it would be lovely if there was a nice circular table! A bit of a draught from the door opening into the skittle alley but understandable as it was skittle night! Such a cold night with snow still on the ground but the ambience was cosy with the log burner lit. Some nice soft furnishings would be good with some cushions around the back of the benches. All in all a lovely evening - we’ll be back .

Supper Evening with the Pie special. Not our first time here and definitely not our last. Thank you to all the team - food was delicious (Beef and Ale pie followed by apple pie) served in a very calm atmosphere. We were looked after very well by the front of house team.
