Service was outstanding by a very knowledgeable young lady acting with extreme professionalism. We started with the Crispy Polenta Chips for an appetizer; they were cooked perfectly light crispy exterior with a smooth cream inside. Our table had four entrees: 1) Eggplant al Forno - 4 breaded slices of eggplant with a side of Capellini with a light tomato sauce. Rate 4/5. 2) Spaghetti Carbonara - Appeared to be Pancetta rather than Guanciale, but still very good. Sauce could use some work. Rate 3.5/5. 3) Crab Cake (special off menu) - Two crab cakes served with Risotto and veggies. Rate 5/5. 4) Pappardelle Bolognese - Typical Bolognese, the other guest thought it was one of the best he'd had. Rate 5/5. Portions were large, leaving plenty for lunch the next day. The bread was excellent!!More infoBacaro Kitchen & Wine BarPrice: Moderate• Italian• Westside•4.8

- PPamVIPHouston •18 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoGreat first visit to Haywire. Pretty quiet lunch crowd on this post-holiday Friday. We were warmly greeted and seated, got good recommendations and service from Kevin, and even a scrumptious looking bread pudding on the house to celebrate the birthday girl. Nice upscale ranch vibe interiors with valet or free garage parking. Will be back to try more menu items.More infoHaywire - Memorial CityPrice: Expensive• American• Westside•4.5
- WWilliamHouston •13 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 24, 2024Great selection and value for Christmas Eve dining! Wonderful rich lobster bisque with chunks of meat to start, followed by an 8oz filet mignon with crabmeat lumps. Other great choices as well. Personal service by U.T., our smiling waiter. Excellent wine choices with a wide price range. We had a nice quiet booth and went early before it got too busy. Impressive.More infoPerry's Steakhouse & Grille - Memorial CityPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Westside•4.6
