Best Casual Restaurants in Escondido

Our waiter Fernando was amazing. Food was delicious especially the filet mignon. Would recommend and the live music was a nice to listen too :)

We've eaten at the Watering Hole twice and had two nice meals. All of the signature cocktails are excellent, and the food was much better than my expectations, especially the burrata appetizer. The scenery is unbeatable -- there's an artificial lawn directly overlooking the Safari Park's large enclosure, and you will see rhinos and other wildlife as you dine. People hang out and drink cocktails on the lawn as well. Would make it a part of any visit. A 2:30 reservation fits well with the 12-2 tour blocks common at the park.

We have always loved the Brigantine. It wasn’t crowded so it was surprising how noisy it was. We were in the smaller glass walled dining area where the 4 of us could not hear each other due to the lack of sound absorbing materials. Pretty room but not conducive to quiet conversation.

An excellent dining experience. My wife and I were very happy to find this gem in downtown Escondido. Chef Lisa is doing it right. The quality of food is excellent. The plating is artistic. The staff was very accommodating the from moment you walk through the door to the last bite. Last but not least, they are farm to table supporting local!
