Best Casual Restaurants in Hollywood

We had dinner on the rooftop at sunset and had a phenomenal experience. Our waiter Cameron was exceptional, catering to our requests to ensure a wonderful dinner. The food was outstanding, featuring delicate and tasteful dishes. Would recommend to anyone who wants a nice dinner experience.

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner of Mie Goreng with Tofu and Pecel (we split both). So tasty and made to perfection for both my friend (who likes no spice) and me with added hot chili sauce (who likes spice galore). Keisha was a delightful server.

We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Ocean Grill and Bar, a lovely Latin-Mediterranean restaurant located on Harrison St. in downtown Hollywood, Fl near the circle. The hostess, Yasmin, greets you warmly as you enter, and you are seated immediately. The beautiful ambiance envelopes you, and you are wrapped in stunning color and lights. For starters, I had large shrimp bathed in milk cream and sitting in these delicious pastry cups. My husband had cerviche, which was very fresh and loaded with many kinds of seafood, both shellfish and fish. The citrus flavor enhanced the dish well, as did the various vegetables that were part of the cerviche. Complimentary homemade hummus with pita triangles was the best we've ever had. For our main course, I had the citrus salmon accompanied by mashed potatoes and asparagus. My husband had a whole sea bass with a variety of vegetables. Both were outstanding. Yasmin comes to the table and torches your herbs so that they are infused into the fish. Such a nice touch. We shared their homemade coconut creme Brule, which was also torched in front of us to give the dessert a nice crispy topping. A beautiful and talented singer sang in both English and Spanish, entertaining us and adding a festive mood as she danced and interacted with the diners. Ocean Grill and Bar is the place to go if you want magnificent food, superb ambiance, fun entertainment, and a staff who treats you like royalty. Excellent experience. Met a couple of friends for a 5:30 reservation. I had looked at the menu's a few times prior to going and knew what I wanted to try. They have a real good Happy Hour menu that I wanted to take advantage of. It doesn't say on their website that it is only at the bar (but that is the case). However, one of the people in our party is in a wheelchair. So the GM (Jared) let us pick some items off of that menu. We had the cucumber salad, a dozen oysters, and the fried chicken. The salad was different, unique, and delicious. Oysters: Nice size and fresh. Fried Chicken fabulous. We also ordered a couple items off of the regular menu. The Snapper Ceviche, Thai Crab Curry, & the Mussels. Each dish was wonderful. For desert who would think of cornbread? J&C did. It's cornbread, vanilla gelato, honey, banana coconut oleo. It's also not to be missed. Our friends got there shortly before us and said that they had just turned the music up right before we arrived. They should probably rethink that. To have such good food, service, & ambiance and then crank up the music is probably not the best idea. Even so, I am still looking forward to a return visit.

The service was excellent and the food was fresh and delicious with an elegant presentation. This really is not meant for dining in- it’s more of a call in and take out.
