Made an early reservation and specifically asked NOT to be seated next to the service area. Guess which table I was immediately led to? I was grudgingly moved to another table and seated. Service was excellent but the food was not. The lobster shooter was tiny bits of lobster in a butter-filled shot glass. Meh. The prosciutto and burrata plate would have been good if the prosciutto had not been pre-sliced and sitting on the plate in the cooler for who know’s how long - it was literally glued to the plate and each piece had to be scraped off to eat. The burrata was good but the sticky prosciutto sort of ruined the dish. Several pieces of the accompanying bread were completely burnt on one side and others barely toasted. My final course was the mushroom risotto. It arrived covered in a dried parsley garnish..while this may “look” attractive it does nothing for the taste. Adding dried bits of greenery to a risotto gave it an unpleasant taste and the pieces get stuck in your teeth, something no one appreciates while dining. The taste of the risotto was ok but nothing exceptional. That was my overall impression, ok but nothing that would make me want to return to try other dishes. The place filled up before I left so it’s obviously popular with local diners but I must have missed those dishes. I’m disappointed because it’s very close and would have been a regular dining spot if the food was good.More infoCork & ForkPrice: Moderate• Farm-to-table• Indio•4.2
- CCharlesVIPSan Diego •67 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe sat outside on the patio and it was great. Our service from Anthony was great and enjoyable. My girlfriend and I shared a wedge which was very good and a different presentation. We also had the children penne which was excellent. I also wanted to thank Christophe, the General Manager who was very helpful and took the time to explain the wines that my friends had with their three course meal and since he knows that I like wine also gave me a taste. - CChrisPalm Springs / Palm Desert Cities •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoWe have been here three or four times. My uncle loved this place, before he passed. My son wanted to go here for his birthday, and it turned out awesome. I just went recently for Valentines, and it was a great atmosphere, and felt private. They were quick, with the water refills, and always checked to make sure everything was great… Thanks!More infoJOY Asian Cuisine - Fantasy Springs Resort CasinoPrice: Moderate• Asian• Indio•4.5
- RRobertaPalm Springs / Palm Desert Cities •8 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe had an early dinner at Jackslope Ranch. The food and service were both excellent. Draft Modello beer was cold and frosty. Nice! The waiter let us leisurely visit and enjoy the brew. No rushing us to order. The food was delicious. One person had a rack of baby back ribs. The meal was s huge serving with delicious ranch beans, coleslaw, and more delicious juicy ribs than he could eat. Another had ribs and brisket. Both juicy and delicious. Other BBQ places serve ribs that are dried out and tough. Not these! Both were tender, juicy and with just the right amount of BBQ sauce. I had the Rodeo Burger. Huge! Couldn’t begin to eat it all. Served topped with bacon, Ortega chili, and crispy fried mini onion rings. Along with sweet potato fries. All the food was delicious! We had a leisurely two hour plus dinner and a lovely evening visiting with friends. The noise level was very low which I particularly enjoyed! Jackalope Ranch is back with all the good things the previous owners had plus new additions. It was too cold to sit outside but I know what gorgeous grounds they have and can hardly wait to have dinner in their huge backyard when it warms up a little. It is the ranch/western Gem of Coachella Valley. You must try it!More infoJackalope RanchPrice: Expensive• Barbecue• Indio•4.2
