A typical food love story. A boy meets a girl while eating pizza. He attends culinary school and open’s a pizza restaurant named after the girl. Thus bringing us to Emily! The Manhattan iteration of the Brooklyn based pizzeria centered around a historic brick oven and comforting food. Emily has earned a following for its signature Detroit-style pies and award winning burger. The pizza here is rectangular (not round) and utilizes the "frico" technique, in which cheese is drizzled on the edges of the pie to create a crispy brown exterior. Beyond the main event, the menu extends to include salads and sandwiches, which shouldn't be ignored (think an attention-grabbing burger and a top-notch spicy fried chicken sandwich). Please note, there will be a time limit of 1 hour 30 minutes for guests so we can fairly utilize our limited capacity. Our outdoor dining is enclosed with heaters that will keep you toasty! Thank you :)

The restaurant’s buildout was well thought out, with ample spacing between tables that allows for private conversation and a comfortable dining experience. The owner and manager are gracious and engaged, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. While there were some minor opening jitters, they’re the kind that naturally smooth out over time. The menu could benefit from a dedicated vegetarian option, though the waiter mentioned that some dishes could be modified. The ambiance is elegant, with marble tables, a fireplace, and candlelit warmth that enhances the overall experience. As a neighborhood resident, I appreciate the inviting presence of the hotel’s doorway when walking by—it adds to the charm of the area.

It’s rare in ny for local, fresh, delicious food. The grilled flavors in the veggies with the sweet tahini dressing hits. Apple celery salad —crisp fresh , with so much flavor. The scallops with grilled bread to soak up everything was perfect Wine selection with perfect chill to the glass is spot on. The chenin Blanc from Samour has a lush fullness with an acidic backbone shaping each sip The date cake with spicy in house made ginger gelato was the perfect end to the meal. Wow
