Little Italy was built by the fishing industry. Ironside attempts to continue that narrative. It's our contemporary interpretation of the classic fish house and oyster bar. Located in a historic auction house on India St we did a full comprehensive restoration of the building, with three open-air culinary hubs featuring an expansive raw bar, chefs table, and bakery. We tried to be mindful of the past while looking towards the future. A 4% surcharge will be added to all guest checks.Ironside is now taking reservations for patio and dining room seating. Benvenuti Nella Mia Cucina, Belli De Nonna! Before we dive into the delicious feast prepared for you, let me give you a little taste of my vita. I was born in the heart of Rome, and I've been cooking up a storm my entire life! My cucina has always been the center of the universe for my 3 daughters, 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, their friends, loved ones, and acquaintances – everyone was always Benvenuto! Now, we've brought that same love and flavor right here to San Diego. My beloved grandson, Niccolo', and his amore, Cesarina, are opening the doors of my Cucina with the same warm heart and passion.Wondering how I made it to 95? Well, it's simple: I ate everything that's served here and filled my life with amore! So, Benvenuti! Don't hesitate to indulge in "Scarpetta" - dip that bread into the sauce, just like my grandchildren used to do at the stove when they thought I wasn't looking. Here, Belli De Nonna, it’s all about food, family, and creating beautiful memories!

Enjoyed our Thanksgiving early dinner here, they had a fixed menu for $89.95. We had a choice of first course, second course and dessert. I had the yummy pan seared sea bass. We were seated at the patio. It was pretty warm even though it was partially open air.. they had ample heaters and a fireplace. Magnificent views of the San Diego skyline. Service was top notch, our waiter was very nice and attentive. Cocktails were extra, and they were delicious. The place was packed, but didn't take away from the cozy ambiance. Would love to be back.

Cesarina absolutely blew me away this time! it was such an upgrade from my last visit! From the moment we walked in, everything felt elevated, from the ambiance to the exceptional service. Travis, our server, went above and beyond to make the evening special. His friendly demeanor, expert recommendations, and genuine attentiveness added so much to the experience. The pasta was out of this world, fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. And don’t even get me started on the tiramisu! Every bite was pure bliss and a testament to the care and passion this restaurant puts into its craft. This visit truly changed the game for me. Cesarina isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an experience, and with service like Travis provided, it’s one I’ll definitely be back for! Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine with a modern, welcoming touch.

We had a lovely time at Lala. We met the proprietor and thoroughly enjoyed the conversation. The food was very good. The atmosphere was very comfortable. The wine prices were a little too high. But highly suggest the espresso martini. Would like to see more vegan options available.
