The Manhattan iteration of the Brooklyn based pizzeria centered around a historic brick oven and comforting food. Emily has earned a following for its signature Detroit-style pies and award winning burger. The pizza here is rectangular (not round) and utilizes the "frico" technique, in which cheese is drizzled on the edges of the pie to create a crispy brown exterior. Beyond the main event, the menu extends to include salads and sandwiches, which shouldn't be ignored (think an attention-grabbing burger and a top-notch spicy fried chicken sandwich). Soothr never fails - everything is just delicious! Dumplings for starters were amazing, the beef pad si wi so good and the tom yum delicious and spicy like we wanted. Highly recommend!

The food was excellent. Service was fine, pleasant, timely, unobtrusive. The single problem--and the only reason I'd think twice about going back--was the noise. Absolutely deafening--and not from loud music--the acoustics in the place, high ceiling, hard surfaces. We ate early--615 and by midmeal, we, the waiters, and everyone in the restaurant, were shouting to be heard (4 people).
