We celebrated a birthday!!! The dinner was divine! Jason was a great server! It was quiet and private and oh so good! Thank you, Max Downtown!!! The birthday was perfect! You were a big part of that! The scallop dish was an interesting fusion of tastes and delicious! The veal chop was exceptional enjoyed by the birthday person!!! The lasagna interesting and wonderful!! The birthday crème brûlée just what the birthday person wanted!!! Thanks again!

Had 1 pm reservations for a Friday lunch and were seated promptly. Dining room was full which was a sign of its popularity. The dining room was nicely decorated and the table settings and tablecloths were a quality touch. Nathan, our server was exceedingly polite and welcoming: a professional in all respects. We ordered the Chicken pot pie. I noticed that no side salad was available on the menu and asked Nathan if one were available. He said it wasn’t a problem at all and the side salads provided were perfect. The pot pie was served in a a tall, cup-like dish, sitting in a lower, wider dish, topped with a puff-pastry biscuit on top. We actually weren’t sure how to eat it and Nathan explained we should remove the pastry, pour the pot pie into the larger dish, and put the pastry on top. The instructions were very helpful and given in such a way as to not embarrass us, much to Nathan’s credit. The pot pie was delicious with generously-sized portions of white meat. We ordered a side of breads, a small basket with a variety of rolls. All were freshly made and tasty. We finished with apple pie a la mode. The pie was also freshly-made and delicious, with a fluffy crust totally different than mass-produced pies. Red Lion is definitely worth the visit: both the food and staff are exceptional and the Inn is just full of character. Make sure you make reservations!

Special location in Elizabeth park with lovely ambiance. The food was delicious both breakfast and lunch food for brunch.

It was Christmas Eve and what could be better than dining at the Publick House? Nothing! We were greeted warmly by the hostess and other staff members. The Christmas lights twinkled and the poinsettias gleamed as we walked through the beautifully decorated halls to our table. The bread basket was filled with corn bread and the delicious pecan rolls! The menu was diverse offering some specials for the evening. Turkey Dinner, Chicken Pot Pie and Prime Rib dinners all fantastic! Desserts yummy too! If you have a special event this is the place to go. Even for a lovely evening out any time of the year including lunch...you will not be disappointed!

Excellent Italian food and great service. An undiscovered gem!
