Best Comfort Food Restaurants in Hilton Head Island

The four of us went to dinner and it was delicious. Iall of the food we ordered was delicious, from the pecan crusted chicken to the rainbow trout. The fried green tomatoes were the best I ever had! I highly recommend The Pirates’ House.

Another wonderful experience at Alfred's! This is our must-do restaurant when at HHI. We had the pork chop and veal chop specials, and they were some of the best entrees we've ever had, anywhere. The mushroom cream sauce on the veal chop was so so good. Shared the Gorgonzola salad and Apple Strudel for dessert. We appreciate the care they take with their service and their amazing dishes, and we look forward to seeing you the next time we're on the island! (Tip: we always order the potato pancakes to go at the end of the meal and have them for breakfast the next morning - delicious with a fried egg!)

We had a good meal at Nectar. Both the Chicken and Waffles and Pork Chop were excellent- largely portioned, fresh, and well-prepared. Dessert was excellent as well, and we also enjoyed the in-house coffee. Serving staff was attentive. We plan on adding this to the short list.

Relish Cafe is a very casual, comfortable spot. While the ambiance is not upscale, the food and service delivered were absolutely top notch. Dishes are of Asian influence and, on our visit, we sampled Dumplings, General Tso's Chicken, Shrimp and Grits, Calamari, and Bang Bang Shrimp. We also had a very good bottle of Rioja for $24. The value is great. What keeps it from being 5 stars overall is the ambiance. Recommend giving it a try.
